Edward ''Bryce Ramey Sr.

A native of Toccoa, GA, he was a son of the late Jeff and Ida Norris Ramey. He was also preceded in death by a infant sister, Stella Ramey; and five brothers, Neville, Russell Harold, Jack and Grady Ramey. He was a retired employee of American Enka and was a member of Dana Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nell Taylor Ramey, sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Carolyn Ramey of Asheville, Tommy and Delta Ramey of Dana; sister, Edna Hall of Royal Oak, MI; grandsons, Tracy Ramey and his wife Melissa of Asheville and Matthew Ramey of NC State.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Dana Baptist Church. Rev. Dan Blackwell will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vincent Pace, Jim Beddingfield, Cleo Howell, Wayne Barnwell, Max Ramey and Larry Vinson.

His family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue. At other times they will be at the home of the son Buddy, 24 Ramey Hill Dr., Asheville.
