Sorry to hear of your loss and my best to your family.
I will always be grateful for your welcoming me into your family and getting to know your wonderful parents. I especially appreciate the time spent with your Dad in recent times. His kind, generous, and loving spirit will endure forever. My thoughts and best wishes to everyone in your family!
Ed ‘A.P.’ Barnwell was a special man in my life. Since both of my grandfathers died before I was born, I always thought of him as sort of a surrogate grandfather. As long as I can remember, A.P. was around and I enjoyed visiting him and Della on a regular basis. I’ll never forget the wonderful stories he told about working in the shipyard or barbering or carpentering or whatever he was thinking about at the time. He was a man who did a lot of things and seemed to do everything well yet he was never in a hurry. He was dear to me and I look forward to meeting him in Heaven.
Ed,
Please know that I am thinking of you in your time of sorrow.

Uncle Ed, you will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved you. Your wit and humor will still be alive in our memories and hearts. May God richly bless you.
Cuz we will see ya in the morning.
I just heard the news of Ed’s death today and wanted to express my sincere sympathy to the family. My family has been connected with the Barnwell family for many years through my sister (Maxine). I fondly remember many visits to the Barnwell home. Ed Barnwell was a true southern gentleman and will be sadly missed by all that knew him. He is now in the arms of angels, may he rest in peace.
