Edward Gomez, 67, of Asheville, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017.
A native of Michigan, Edward was a son of the late Robert Espinosa Gomez and Stella Alvarado Gomez.
Edward had a passion for music, reading and the arts. Edward had a love for his grandchildren like no other. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one".
Surviving are his daughters, Angel Gomez, China Gomez, and Santana Gomez; sons, Edward Gomez, Jr. and Justin Gomez; grandchildren, Alex, Devon, Marley, Savannah, Shaun, Cruz, Taj, Lennon, and Prudence; former wife and forever friend, Susan Teeple; and extensive family including five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services for Mr. Gomez will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
