Mike and Bob and families… My sadness in learning of Edwin’s death is tempered by rich and fond memories of him – and of your dear mother Sue – and our years at Sand Hill Church. Edwin’s booming bass voice and his contagious smile and warmth have always been an inspiration to me. No Christmas ever passes without my thoughts of Edwin portraying of one of the three ‘wisemen’ in church pageants. Both of your parents have always been cherished memories of my formative years in West Asheville; and I give thanks for their lives of service and devotion to their family and community. And my deepest sympathy is yours.
Mike and family. I am so sorry for your loss. As a Navy veteran I mourn the loss of another World War II veteran who served so admirably at a time when service to the country really meant something. I hold you in my thoughts and offer my prayers.
Bob and Shirley and Family, Another family memeber in Heaven.
Painful to give them up but what
a great reunion we will have.
Another great generation WWII hero
gone Hope Ed got to make to Washington with all the veterans.
So sorry for your loss

Our deepest sympathy to the Crisp family. It seems we have known Edwin all our lives. We remember him from our days at Sand Hill Grammar School to Starnes Cove Baptist Church, and his brave final days. He was a true patriot, gentleman,
and scholar with a keen sense of
what was important in life. We will
keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Wayne & Neil
Dear Crisp family,
Ed was such a blessing to our church family. Although they were sad stories, I hung on his every word as he told of his adventures as a WWII pilot.
I don’t think I ever saw him that he did not have a smile on his face.
Blessings and sympathy to you all.
He will be missed.
Rob and Shirley, So sorry to hear about your fathers death. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
