Elizabeth Anne Sutton Brocklesby, 65, of Candler, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals following a long battle with cancer. A native of Haywood Co., Anne was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucy Hunter Sutton. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Dean Chandler. Anne was very much a handyman and could fix anything. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing and camping. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Chandler Pate and Keneith Brocklesby; sisters, Brenda Norman and husband George, Sandy Gragg and husband Mark, and Robin Denning and husband Carlton; grandchildren, Amanda, Heaven and Haley Chandler, Christopher and Anna Benfield, Sumer Pate, and Crystal Brown; and great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Axel Luther, and Colton Benfield. A Celebration of Anne's Life will be on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at her sister Sandy's home, 673 Starnes Cove Rd., Candler. The Rev. Charlie Sams will officiate. A family gathering will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, Anne's family asks that donations be made to the family to assist with the funeral expenses. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

    • I noticed this response is almost two years later! Will request for it to be removed! Or at l at least the name of the man who assaulted not only my mother, but myself as well! I have not forgotten anything!!!
