Elizabeth W. Nesbitt

A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Fairy Hill Wright, and step-daughter of the late Annie Wright.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrw Rosco Nesbitt, who died in 1979.

She is survived by seven daughters, Barbara Banks, Ruby Swink, Pauline Latham and Catherine Lytle of Fairview, Lettle Gentle of Fletcher, and Louise Bishop and Nannie Randolph of Flat Rock;  six sons, Andy Nesbitt, David Nesbitt, Bill Nesbitt, Sam Nesbitt, all of Fairview, Tom Nesbitt of Black Mountain, and Floyd Nesbitt of Flat Rock;  37 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren;  four sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at Nesbitt's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Robert M. Harris and Avery Owenby officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Ten grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 9 pm Friday at Groce Funeral Hom eon Patton Avenue and at other times will be at the home of Andy Nesbitt on Garren Creek Road.

Mrs. Nesbitt will remain at the funeral home until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
