Ella Jay Butler Maynor passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Oaks at Sweeten Creek.
Mrs. Maynor was born in Buncombe County to the late Lon and Minnie Butler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Maynor who died in 1986.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Maynor; a daughter, Ella Jean Cutshaw; a sister, Betty Butler Sayles; a granddaughter, whom she raised, Charmain Maynor; a grandson, Sam Cutshaw and a great granddaughter, Summer Gannon.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Overlook Road in Arden with Reverend Cecil Robinson officiating.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
