Emily Joann Bishop

Emily Joann Bishop, 89, of Maitland, Florida, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025.

Born July 8, 1935 in Buncombe Co., Emily was a daughter of the late George Howard Bishop and Flora Lyda Bishop. She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Hugh Bishop.

Emily is survived by her sisters, Nancy Heatherley and Frances Hill (John Hill); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Fairview. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
