Ethel Currie White

Arden – Ethel Currie White, 91 of Christ School Road, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Milton Currie and wife of the late L A White, who died in 2007. Mrs. White was one of the oldest living members of Biltmore United Methodist Church and was co-owner with her late husband of White Transfer and Storage. She is survived by a daughter, Jean Aiken and a son, Mike White of Arden; three grandchildren, Amy White Tucker and husband, Carlos, of Lyman, SC, Justin Aiken of Asheville and Michael White of Arden, and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Blake. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday in Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Hillman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Episcopal Church Food Pantry, Inc., PO Box 187, Fletcher, NC 28732. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
