Eunice Sprouse Joyner, 64, of 113 Olney Road died Monday, Dec. 28,
1998 in the Hospice Solace Center.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the
daughter of the late Frank Sprouse and Laura Sprouse Tomberlin and was
the wife of Archie Randolph Joyner who died in 1985. She was preceded
in death by a son Randy Joyner who died in 1993.
She is survived by a daughter Helen Joyner Oberdier; two sons, Mortice
and Jimmy Joyner; two sisters Wanda Evans and Pauline Laws; four
brothers Tom, Fred, C.J., and James Sprouse; six grandchildren and
seven step-grandchildren all of Asheville.
Services will be 11 am Wednesday, in the Chapel of Groce Funeral
Home with the Rev. Charles Sprouse officiating. Interment will be in
Greens Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Tuesday at the
funeral home.
