Funeral services for Fannie Roberts Stevens will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 1998, at the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Revs. Bobby Smith and Joe Sellars officiating.  Burial will be at the Episcopal Cemetery at Leicester.

Mrs. Stevens is survived by six daughters, Nell Bell, Rosalie Gillliam, Alice Deweese, Sue Capps, Wylma Sluder, and Ella Mae Cowan;   four sons, Henry Stevens, Robert Stevens, Tom Stevens, and Joe Stevens;  a brother, Edward Roberts, 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her parents, J. Chief and Eliza Ball Roberts, her husband, Richard C. Stevens, a daughter, Vifrginia Battle, and two sons, Merritt J. Stevens, who died in WW II, and George W. Stevens.
