Flossie Annette Belcher

Flossie Annette Smith Belcher, 81, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017. A native of Welch, WV, Mrs. Belcher was a daughter of the late William Raymond Smith and Maggie Elizabeth Pauley Smith. She was married to the late Leslie George Belcher, and had lived in Buncombe County for eight years. Mrs. Belcher was a talented artist who enjoyed working with her hands, especially painting and crochet. She also enjoyed working with the children in the Welch, WV, schools. She is survived by sons, Joe Belcher and wife, Reta, of Candler, Brad Belcher and wife Sally, of Candler, Wayne Belcher and wife, Sheila, of Pineville, WV, and Robert Belcher; grandchildren, Leslie Smith (Nathaniel), Joseph Belcher (Hailey), Amber Buchanan (Daniel), Wayne Belcher, Jr. (Joyce), Donald Perdue, Dylan Belcher, Deana Belcher and Caleb Belcher; great-grandchildren, Caiden, Fern, Andrew, Carson, Paige and Tyler; a sister, Evelyn Sparks and brothers, William Smith, Jr., Charles Smith and Johnny Smith. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
