Frances Banister Robertson

Frances Banister Robertson, 94, died July 1, 2025, in her home of 72 years.

She was born in Asheville in 1931 to Robbie and Roy Banister. She attended Asheville High School with her three sisters and three brothers before training and working as a medical technician.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, G.R. Robertson, and is survived by her five children and seven grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at Groce Funeral Home, Tunnel Rd. The service will follow at noon. Burial will then take place at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.

Frances requested that donations be made to Black Mountain Home for Children in lieu of flowers.
