Frank was married to the former Faith Sneeden for 60 years. Frank and Faith made their home in Lenoir, NC for 37 years before they moved to Highland Farms.

He served two Presbyterian churches in the Eastern part of NC. He later worked at Western Carolina Center in Morganton as Interim Chaplain and as a volunteer, receiving the Governor’s Award for Volunteer Service. This was presented to Frank by Governor Jim Hunt.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Frank will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 11am in the Assembly Room at Highland Farms in Black Mountain, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Frank's body was donated to the Genesis Program (for medical science).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church World Services of Durham or Greensboro resettlement offices (https://cwsglobal.org).
The family would like to thank the staff at Highland Farms and Care Partners for the wonderful care they gave Frank.
We are so very sorry for your loss. I know how much you love your Mom & Dad. You all are in our prayers.
Sending love and light!
Aunt Faith, Helen, Carol, Laura, Beth, and Families; As Cindy said, there are so many wonderful memories of your dad and the many wonderful visits shared by your family and ours. 5 or 6 of us girls gathered around Lake Susan, with Uncle Frank teaching us to bait worms and patiently wait for a fish, is undoubtedly one of those memories that we will never forget. How could I almost forget the playroom? That may go all the way back to Erwin. Babysitting at Montreat and of course, the Wilmington beach house visits are memories that will never wash away. I shall never forget a heart-to-heart conversation with Uncle Frank, in the dining room in Lenoir. He dared to talk with me about Daddy’s death and invited me to share my feelings. He quietly sat with me as tears gushed forth. For me, Uncle Frank was mostly a dear uncle, but I now realize that in the dining room that day, he was also a pastor and counselor for me. I give thanks for Uncle Frank’s long life, his compassion, his wisdom, his support and his undying sense of humor, as evidenced in the opening paragraph of his obituary. With much love, Doris
We are thinking of our dear friend as you face into your grief & carry the joy towards tomorrow. Take care knowing you are carried in the arms of a loving Savior. Anna
Aunt Faith, Helen, Carol, Laura, Beth, and Family, So many cherished memories growing up together, the beach house, the playroom with all the fun toys, fishing with Uncle Frank. Reminds me of the TobyMac song, Speak Life. That’s what Uncle Frank spoke into my life and I will always miss him. I’ll never forget the fun memories we have. Sharing in your joy for his life and the sadness in our loss. Love always, Cindy
