George Swiler Badders, Jr.

A native of Topeka, KS, Mr. Badders was a son of the late George Swiler Badders, Sr. and Ruby Annette Byers Badders and the husband of Patricia Ann Baughman Badders. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Madeleine Palmer.
Mr. Badders was a graduate of Cornell University and worked as a mechanical engineer with General Electric for 34 years.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Badders served as a second lieutenant with the Flying Tigers in the China Burma India Theatre and received the Distinguished Flying Cross.
Mr. Badders attended Arden Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Badders is survived by four sons, Robert Lynn Badders of Camp Hill, PA, William Michael Badders of Haverford, PA, Brian Lee Badders of Hickory and Mark Lewis Badders of Apex; two sisters, Jane Klefstad of Fairfield, CA and Jean Daniels of Topeka, KS and eleven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 7 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Rev. Ken Crabb officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard.

First off my condolences to The Badders family. I do not know any of you but during research on my father in law, Mr George S Badders Jr name came up. His name is on the plane my father in law was on. Mr Badders was the navigator.
