Gladys Loven Creasman, 93, of Alexander, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014.
A native of Yancey Co., she was a daughter of the late Pressley and Esta Mae Ballard Loven. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Douglas and Dennis Creasman.
Mrs. Creasman worked as a supervisor at Woolworths for twenty-five years. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Woodfin Creasman; sons, Steven Creasman of Alexander, Michael Creasman of Leicester, and David Creasman of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Carolyn Creasman of Asheville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Hice Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215.
