Glenn D. Hensley, 44, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at the Burke Hospice House, Valdese.
Born in Buncombe County, Mr. Hensley was a son of the late Arnie Glenn Hensley. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a former firefighter and Chairman of the Board of Swannanoa Fire Department.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Rash; daughter, Jennifer Hensley; son, Philip Hensley (Renoo); and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
