Gregory Coleman Milby, 50, of Syracuse, New York passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Greg was born in Campbellsville, KY to Dan Milby and Wyona Secrest. He was a computer geek, web developer, graphic designer and dog lover. He enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo, and was a fierce Scrabble opponent. He cared deeply for his family, and especially his wife for whom he would do anything.
He is survived by his wife, Renée Kessler Milby of Syracuse, NY; his parents, Wyona and Ben Secrest of Fayetteville, NC and Dan and Lavonne Milby of Hopkinsville, KY; a brother, Bradley Secrest and his partner, Mathew Caylor of Boone, NC; sister, Heidi Plank and her husband, Stan of Raeford, NC; beloved nieces and nephews, Tyler and Aaron Plank, Savannah, Evan, Morgan, Sophia and Jack Kessler and Madison and Aline Jamieson; his four legged girls, Kati, Eleanor and Baby Chloé. He is also survived by his wife's family, Gordon, Janet, Gordon (GJ), Michael and Kimberlie Kessler, Julie Kessler Scroggs and her husband, Danny, Elizabeth Robinson and many close friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 18, 2014 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden, NC with Pastors Sam Fine and Terry Malone officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.

Condolences to the family during this difficult time. Please find comfort from the promises found in God’s Word the Bible. Soon sickness and death will be no more and we will have the opportunity to welcome back the ones we lost to death by means of a resurrection. Until then pray for endurance.
