Harold Lee McLaughlin

Fletcher – Harold McLaughlin, 73, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville. Harold was born in Burnsville, NC to the late William James McLaughlin and Gladys Waycaster McLaughlin. Harold loved sports and was involved in Fairview athletics as a coach, and supporter for many years. He is survived by his wife and friend, Elizabeth McLaughlin; three children, Mark McLaughlin and his wife, Melissa, Angela Williams and her husband, Walter and Danny McLaughlin, all of Fairview; two sisters, Patricia Lockhart and Geraldine Silvers; two brothers, James McLaughlin and Emory McLaughlin; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow on Thursday at 11:00 am at McLaughlin Cemetery in Burnsville.
