With apologies to Edna St.Vincent Millay:
He burnt his candle at both ends;
It made his life so bright;
But ah, my fans, and oh, my friends’?
It gave a lovely light!
Adios, Harry. Save me a seat.
I had hoped to meet you, ‘Judge,’? after I learned you had taken up residence in my hometown. You were so likable, and my first wife reminded me that we used to watch syndicated reruns of ‘Night Court’? every night when we were together back in the very early 1990s. Rest in peace, for you made many of us laugh and smile for years aftwr the show ended its run.
Say hi to Mel …. Peace be with you.
Harry Anderson didn’t just ‘DO’ magic–he ‘IS’ magic. Any one single human being who can make millions of others laugh, be amazed, and forget their worries while in his company (in person, or on television)–tell me that he isn’t magic. Even now, as we think of him, don’t you feel his warm and kind spirit in all of the happy memories he gave each and every one of us. Isn’t THAT magic? His boyish charm and wit, his humility, his drive to make this world more lighthearted. THAT’s magic, too. So many people love you, Harry, for a million different reasons. We’re so sorry you had to leave us, but we will forever have great memories that only you could give us.
Harry Anderson was a huge part of my childhood. He will be missed deeply. Many prayers for his family and friends.

My all time favorite TV show. Night Court and Harry had such an impact on my childhood during the late 80s/early 90s. When I attended the final taping, I asked him to please come back fro a tenth season. He declined, saying that he had to ‘go back to Seattle and groute his tile.’ Very funny, talented and perfect for that cast. Gone much too soon. Thank you Harry for the memories. May you Rest in Peace.
You were a good comidien and actor u will be missed May the lordbless ur family. At this time RIP HARRY
“It isn’t the date on either end that counts, but how they used their dash. For that dash between the dates represents all the time they spent alive on Earth…and now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.”
