Henly Hilyer Patton, Jr., 88, of the Givens Estates, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012.
He was the son of the late Henly H. Patton, Sr. and Clara Kate Dixon Patton. He joined the US Army at age 18, serving in W.W. II and graduated from N.C. State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1950. Upon graduation, Henly worked at US Steel in Pittsburg, PA for three years and from 1953 until his retirement at age 65 worked for American Enka.
A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, at 11:00 am, at Central United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
