Herman E. Levi

Mr. Levi was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a son of the late Ezekial Levi and the late Letha Brooks Levi Earley.  He was a Navy veteran and a retired sheet metal worker.  He was a member of Inanda Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Hyatt Levi;  a daughter, Willena Levi Cantrell of Asheville;  two sons, Herbert Ezekial Levi and Ray Richard Levi, both of Candler;  a sister, Helen Levi Burleson and a brother, Clarence Levi, both of Asheville;  and four grandchildren, Connie Edwards, Debbie Steppe, and Russell and Drake Levi.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Higgins officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
