Asheville Butterfly TrailHe was born, March 4, 1917 in North Washington, Iowa, he was the son of the late Henry J. Eischeid and Cora Houser Eischeid. He was a member of the Marshall, NC United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Eischeid of Asheville; a daughter, Samantha Wynn, of Arden; one son, Charles Thomas Hallmark and his wife, Melinda of Bryan, Texas; two brothers, Henry J. Eischeid and his wife, Kay of New Hampton, Iowa and Dale Eischeid of Indianopolis, Indiana; three step-grandsons and two great step-grandsons.
Memorial services will be held later in Dunn, Texas.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is in charge of arrangements.
