Fletcher, NC – Irene Joan Lizik Gombac, 84, loving wife of the late Frank Gombac of Joliet, IL, died peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Gombac was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leon and Stella Drozd Lizik. She was also preceded in death by a brother Leo Lizik and a sister, Helen Downs.
Mrs. Gombac is survived by a daughter, Susan Appa of Fletcher, NC; a son David Gombac and his wife, Jocelyn, of NJ; a sister, Millie Baltikas of Chicago, IL and two grandchildren, Lauren and Alexander Appa.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date in Chicago.
