Isaac 'Red' Randolph, 85, of 26 Hubbard Avenue, Asheville, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998 in the
Hospice Solace Center.

A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Malone and Cordelia Letterman Randolph and
had been a resident of Buncombe County since 1942.  He was a member of the Acton United
Methodist Church.  He was a former produce manager with the A & P Tea Company for 20 years and after retiring, he worked with the GO Grocery for 5 years and with the Farmer's Market for 15 years.  He loved working in his greenhouse with azaleas.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Masters Randolph; sister, Polly Buchanan of Burnsville; brothers, John Randolph of Asheville and Rollins Randolph of Kannapolis, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 am Thursday in the Acton United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Paul
Hacklander.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
