Isabel Caldwell

Isabel M. Caldwell, 77, of Etowah, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Mission Hospital.

Born in Swain County, she was the beloved daughter of the late Herman and Ethel Willis. Isabel was a devoted member of Boylston Baptist Church.

A passionate and avid reader, Isabel found great joy and comfort in books. Additionally, she was a dedicated employee who took pride in her work and was always eager to return to it.

She is survived by her son, Roger Dale Burchfield, and her grandson, Ryan Burchfield, both of Asheville, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Boylston Baptist Church Cemetery in Mills River.
