Jack Gardner Clemmons, 82, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at the home of his daughter, Joyce Smith.
Mr. Clemmons was born in Asheville and was a son of the late William and Ella Cowart Clemmons. He was an Army veteran and drove for 50 years for Blue Ridge Trucking Co.
He is survived by his daughter, Joyce C. Smith; sons, Jack Michael Clemmons, Phillip Gary Clemmons and Jack Gardner Clemmons, Jr.; sister Judy Barnes; brothers, Charles Clemmons, who was a brother and best friend, and Mac Clemmons; numerous grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Brian Combs officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220.
