James Calvin Pegg, 59, of Asheville, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of Margaret Irene Sluder Coe and of the late JC Pegg. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tim Pegg, and nephew, Stephen.
Mr. Pegg enjoyed camping, fishing, helping others, working on cars, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Parker Pegg; sisters, Regina Hechler, Lisa Pegg, Teresa Roberts, and Donna Wright; brother, Doug Pegg; sons, Gary, Jesse, and Michael Parker; grandchildren, Kadie Parker, Brittany Parker, Gage Parker, Clayton Parker, Aiden Parker, and Camy Parker; nieces, Christy, Jackie, Jennifer, and Candida; nephews, Tony, Greg, Jacob, Jesse, and James; great-granddaughter, Carli Parker; and his dog, BooBoo.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.

Lisa ,Regina , Teresa, Doug, Donna , Margaret, And Barbara, I am so sorry for your loss of James. I am not going to get to come in for the memorial. I have had a bad day and am afraid to drive when i’m like this. At lest I got to see him and talk to him on Sunday. I love you all and think of you often. My love and prayers are with you. Donna It took me a few minutes to think back in the past to when we were little girls to remember your brother James.You and I were in the same grade at French Broad.I lived up in the big house behind the grill on the River next to the post office back then.Im sorry to hear of Tim’s passing too. May God grant your family peace and understanding during the coming weeks.
