Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. For the last 20 something years, every Spring Jim and I would spend two days together taking continuing ed classes. Last year the instructor spoke about Jim being the oldest appraiser in her classes, he just grinned. We always sat together and had lunches together, exchanged stories and jokes. Jim always told me about Mike and his grandkids that he was so proud of. We might talk on the phone about business, go to lunch at Christmas time or cross paths in between. My friend Jim will sure be missed, but I’ll see him again. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

  2. Mr. Byerly was a kind, genuine man who always had a smile on his face. He and Mrs. Byerly opened their doors and hearts to many of us as we were growing up and I will always remember his positivity and calm during those times. My thoughts and prayers go out to all his loved ones, especially Mike.

  3. I remember the Byerlys so well from growing up in church at Mt. Carmel Baptist. They were great!! Jim was such a lovely gentleman.

  4. Sorry to hear about your Dad Mike, he sounded like a wonderful guy. Take care of your self now.

  5. Jim and my late husband, Bob York, worked for the county in appraisal work settling disputes involving all kinds of issues on land in the county and some in the city. He thought the world of your Dad and we spent time with both your Dad and your mother Mary. I am sorry for your loss, but as an only child, also, I understand.

  6. DEAR MIKE AND FAMILY, YOUR DAD WILL BE MISSED BY US ALL BUT HE IS NOW WITH YOUR MOM. HE WAS
A GOOD FRIEND, MAN AND CHRISTIAN. IF I CAN HELP YOU, PLEASE LET ME KNOW,MAC
