Jane Drake Ruth

Mills River – Jane Drake Ruth, 89, of Butler Bridge Road, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Elizabeth House. A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Addie Clayton Drake and was the wife of the late Leander William Ruth, who died in 1984. She also was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers and was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son, James Paul Drake and his wife, Carol, of Suwanee, GA; two daughters, Rebecca Knight and her husband, Larry, of Mills River and Carol Faulkner and her husband, Dete, of Fletcher; six grandchildren, Josh Drake and his wife, Terrisa, Erin Drake, Tommy Knight and his wife, Megan, David Knight, Kathy Knight and Tiffany Faulkner; and two great-grandchildren, Teddy Knight and Danenn Knight. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
