It is with great sadness that the family of Janet Sollé, 65, of Asheville, North Carolina, announces her unexpected passing, Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Janet was born to the predeceased Ralston and Jean Prince in 1953, in New York, New York. Her family moved to Key Biscayne from New York when she was 3. Janet grew up on the Key and maintained many friendships from her life there. She was a vital member of the Key Biscayne Community Church. She graduated from Coral Gables High School. In 1977, before the birth of her second child, she moved to the Asheville area, where she resided for most of the last 40 years. She married Edward Sollé in 2000, and they lived together in Arden for the last 18 years. She was a Registered Nurse and had a beautiful gift of caring for people. Her life was spent being a loving mother, wife, sister, friend, and enjoying her role as "Demi" to all the precious grandchildren in her life. She was a loving daughter to her beloved parents before they passed away. Janet loved the Lord and gave of her heart and nursing skills in several Honduras mission trips. She was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and later in Grace Community Church. Her life was spent enjoying her family and being there for everyone that knew her. She had a gift of being a listening ear, unwavering supporter, and encourager of all of her loved ones. She was deeply loved by so many people and she will be greatly missed. Janet is survived by her husband and friend, Edward Sollé. She will be forever remembered by her children: Zachary (Christy), Jessica (Mike), Abigail, and Emily (Gabe). She was adored by her precious grandchildren: Calvin, Linden, Keaton, Nathan, Kenlie, Isaac, and Kase. She was blessed by her Stepchildren: Michael (Mikelle), Amy (Adam), Chandra (Marcus), Hans (Marybeth), Grace, and Matthew. She adored and enjoyed her beautiful "bonus" grandchildren: Hans, Anastasia, Caleb, Malena, Miles, Ella, Mariella, Samantha, and Laurel. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Alexander (Carmen), Mara (Ernest), Elizabeth (José) and her nieces and nephews: India Lorraine, Alexander, Haley, Janean, Danny, and Kelly. A public visitation will be held on Friday, November 30th, from 5-7 PM at Groce Funeral Home's Lake Julian location. Flowers are appreciated, but for those who choose, memorial donations may be made in Janet's name to Four Seasons Compassion For Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731

  4. I am so sad to lose a friend like Janet. She was first our neighbor then our friend, and then our family. We had lots of good times together. Some sad times but we knew the other would be there. I will see you again my dear friend. For the kids my heart is with you and trust the Lord will see you through this difficult time.
