Jason Nathaniel Case, 31, of 11 Case Road, Asheville, died Monday, December 24, 2007, at his home. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Susan Young Wilson and husband Eugene of Candler and Timothy Case and wife Molly of Asheville. Jason was a 1994 graduate of Enka High School and was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Gasperson Case. In addition to his parents, survivors include his beloved baby girl who was the light of his life, Sydney (Doodle) Marie Case of the home; sister, Sarah Wilson of Candler; step-brothers, Ware Swain of Raleigh, Jay Swain and wife Robin of Asheville and Todd Swain of Haywood County; grandfather, Terrell Case of Asheville; maternal grandparents, Troy and Carolyn Young of Candler; step-grandparents, Gene and Betty Wilson of Asheville; several uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Mr. Brian Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Carl Schmidt, Freddy Goforth, Michael Boydston, Baron Sampson, Brian Wilson and Nathaniel Capps serving as pall bearers. Honorary pall bearers are Brett Davis, Brandon Davis, Jeremy Parris and Josh Case. His family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

  4. To a guy I never knew with so many problems he didnt what to do. Life is so easy to be so hard. If anybody knew how long a day is to people like me and you. I dont know what was going through your mind. I guess we all have alot of bad times. Now we sit here thinking of you and wonder what to do. We could do this or that but nothing can bring you back. Iwish I could have been in your shoes. Because i am so much older than you. I know you had problems now I guess. But the Lord will take care of them and you can finally rest.

  12. I just received the sad news of JasonÕs passing. I had the pleasure of sharing the gridiron with him while we were high school. He was a fierce competitor but also had a very funny side. Mostly though, IÕll remember him as one of the 1st friends I made when I came to Enka. My heart goes out to his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
