  11. Scott, Kathleen and family ~
My heart goes out to each of you in your loss. Jerry was such a fine man and I always enjoyed working with him when he would come out to the office to quote our insurance. I was stunned this morning to read of his passing.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all as you go through this time of sorrow and grief. I walked this same road 11.5 years ago, so I can relate to what you are going thru.
May God bless, comfort and strengthen each of you!
    Alton

  12. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers! I had the pleasure and privilege to work for Jerry at the insurance agency. He was a great leader for all of us. He always had a smile on his face. Oh, and his laugh! You couldn’t help but smile when you heard Jerry laughing in his office or in the conference room! So contagious! He will be so missed.

  13. Jerry was a class act in every respect. I first met him in 1968 when we worked for Aetna. How fortunate I was to have Jerry show me the ropes and explain how things were done. He spoke often of his family. Patrice, I know that you can take some comfort in knowing that your grief is shared by so many people whose lives were touched by Jerry in one way or another. God bless you and your family.

  14. Patrice, I was stunned when I read Jerry’s obituary yesterday. I always thought of him as such a strong and vibrant man. I was only fortunate enough to work with him for about 2 years, but during that time I got to know him as such a kind caring man with so much love for his family. He will be so missed, the world is a much sadder place without him.

  17. I did not know Jerry, but he was obviously a fine man and highly regarded in our community. It should be noted that he was mentioned fondly in Pat Conroy’s book; ‘My Losing Season’ on pages 53 & 54. ‘Though we had beaten Asheville Catholic twice during the regular season, both games had been closely contested, and their point guard, Jerry Vincent, was one of the best players in the league’.
As an Asheville Catholic alum I will say … rest in peace.

  18. Patrice,we are so sorry to hear about Jerry. A real professional in every way. I remember our days at Aetna in the claims department. He taught me a lot, We had some good times after we joined the agency ranks on trips with you both. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
