Jessica Lynn Laughter, 30, of Candler, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of Carlton Denning and Robin Sutton Denning.
Jessica was a graduate of Enka High School in 2000, with her sister Alesha. She received her Associates Degree in Social Service from A-B Tech in 2006. She also attended cosmetology school. She loved sports, and played softball with Venable.
Despite her many hospitalizations and surgeries, Jessica had an indomitable spirit. She was resilient and always found ways to help herself and her family.
In addition to her parents, Jessica is survived by her daughter, Savannah Faith Laughter; sister Alesha Laughter; brother Jason Denning; nieces and nephews Lilly Laughter, Lucy Laughter, and Jacob Denning; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friend and partner Jessica West; Godmother Angela Gurka; plus a host of close friends, because she never met a stranger.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Starnes Cove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave.

jo-bob will be missed sooooo much. I love her so much and no one could ever brake a bond like ours was. I remember the first time I went to Cruz patton I was 11 and jo-bob done my hair and make up and she let me go out with the big girls. I have always done my hair like that since then bc she said it looked good lol. I love u aunt robin and Sha and vana I’m sorry for the great loss. She will always be in our hearts and with us and now she is waiting on us with Allllllllllllllll of our other loved ones that have passed. We Will see her again in her new body and we Will get to rejoice with all of them. I love u all so much.
