Fletcher – Joe B. Morgan, 87, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at his home.

Mr. Morgan was born June 28, 1936, in Asheville to the late James Sigret Morgan and Roxanne Hazel Medford Morgan. He served in the US Army for two years and retired from Ball Glass after 39 years. He and Mrs. Morgan attended Skyland First Baptist Church. His life centered on his home, his yard and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Gilbert Morgan; daughters, Tina Dillingham and her husband Duane and Joann Morgan; son, Steve Morgan and his wife Sheryl; grandchildren Lauren Sword (Joe), Heather Looper (Drake), Blake Morgan and Savana Morgan.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Seth Morgan, a sister, Frances Burris, and brothers, Alvin, Carl, and James Morgan, Jr.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, in the Lake Julian Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Ponder officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to Skyland First Baptist Church, 2115 Hendersonville Road, Arden, NC 28704.
