He is no longer suffering, but is now resting in the arms of Jesus, the one Bro Leonard preached about for all these years..If there is anything I can do for you, please call…God Bless and keep you
Velda,
I share in your grief of the loss of Bro Leonard. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. If you ever need me, Please call on me anytime, day or night…
Leonard baptized me on a cold October morning in a swimming pool. I had met him through work around the same time I got saved. My family started attending his church. We felt so welcomed there. He counseled me a lot in my new found faith.
I know he has heard from Jesus, ‘Well done good and faithful one. Welcome home.’ He’s now praising God in the presence of our Lord and savior. A reward that he has truly earned.
I KNOW THAT PREACHER LEONARD HAS MADE IT TO THE PLACE HE ALWAYS TOLD US ABOUT IN CHURCH EVERY SUNDAY MORNING HE WILL BE MISSED BUT WE WILL SEE HIM AGIAN VELDA JUST LOOK UP TO THE STARS AND THAT WILL BE HIM LOOK DOWN TO YOU MY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO PLEASE LET ME KNOW GOD BLESS YOU LOVE MARY

Psalms Chapter 23

We love you.
After I visited Leonard in the hospital I couldn’t go back…I know he’s not suffering anymore. Velda, Leonard will be waiting at the river for you as God is now ‘Holding His Hand’. We love you Velda and want you to know that Leonard will truly be missed at church.
‘Can you imagine a place of beauty where the streets are paved with gold and the walls are made of jasper and the crystal river flows. A place where mansions line the streets and night will never be, I can’t wait till I can say I am home…’
Velda, I was so sorry to hear about Cousin Leonard. He’s not suffering anymore and He’s now waiting for you in the Kingdom of Heaven. From Mamaw Vernie, Papaw Butch, Mom Rhonda, Dad Thomas, and me, were so sorry for your loss. We’ll always be here for you, no matter what happens.
Leonard was a great man. As you two watched me grow up he taught me a lot about the Bible and how to be a good person with good morals. He never judged me when I was in the wrong, just gave me guidance. He would always say ‘I’m not telling you what to do baby girl, just giving you my opinion.’ He was always worried about hurting my feelings. For the record he never did. It was my pleasure to take care of him during this time of need. He kept saying that God blessed him with sending me to him!! I must tell you that it was the other way around. He was my gift from GOD! He helped me more this past year than I could have ever helped him!! I’m not sure now how to go on with out him and Nanny, they both was my spiritual rocks so to speak. Thank you both for allowing me to call you Mom and Dad! I love you Velda and I’m still here for you! He will be missed, but I’m so glad he is not suffering any more!
Velda, Marie and Family,I knew Leonard was sick but it was a total shock to see where he passed.Leonard was a good man,he was the same everytime you saw him. I’ve never heard anybody say anything against him, even when we were growing up.Our thoughts and Prayers are with you all. Bud Spillars and Jean McHone
