John Allan Stipp, 84, of 5 Kent Place, Asheville, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, in an Asheville hospital.

Mr. Stipp was born in St. Joseph, MO, and was a son of the late Charlie C. and Mary M. Bing Stipp.  He was an Army veteran of WW II and was a former Postal Service Superintendent in St. Joseph, MO.

Among the survivors are his wife, Shirley Roberts Stipp, and a daughter, Nancy Malle of Asheville.

Private graveside services will be at noon Thursday at Lewis Memorial Park.
