Asheville - John Anthony Puchalski, 76, of Asheville, died Sunday, February 24, 2008.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 29, 2008 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church with interment to follow at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with a Rosary to be said at 8:00 PM.

He was a good grandpa. I remember when we used to war, solitare, and fake poker with him. I miss him so very much. He will ALWAYS be in our hearts. WE ALL LOVE YOU GRANDPA.

I liked playing cards with you and i will miss you.
I miss you grandpa. I loved everything about you. You’ll always be in my heart. I love you. I loved how we used to play cards and how you taught me how to play pool and how you always loved mixing fruit together and making those drinks that were delicious. I love you grandpa, and I miss you very much!
