John Wade Ryan, III

John Wade Ryan, III, 54, Asheville, died Sunday, May 7, 2006. Born on November 11, 1951, and a native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Jack Ryan, and Hope Ryan, of Asheville. Wade was a writer with a passion for life and those he knew. He is survived by his mother, Hope Ryan; daughter, Amanda Townsend, of Fletcher; sons, John Wade Ryan, IV and Grey Sterling Ryan, both of Asheville; sister, Lisa Demkow and her children Alexa and Logan, of Asheville; brother, Mark Ryan and his wife Donna, of Columbia, SC; and his fiancée, Sandra Fitzsimons, of Australia. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Avenue with the Rev. Canon Brian Cole officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
