Johnnie Lee Brown

Johnnie Lee Brown, 85, of Swannanoa died Monday, April 30, 2012, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. A native of Dunlap, TN, he was a son of the late James David "Jim" Brown and Zora Harding Brown. He was also preceded in death by daughter Shirley Elaine Brown; son Richard Earl Brown; sisters Dorothy Aline Allen and Ruth Lowe; and brothers Robert Charles, James Allen, William Earl (Buck), and Howard Thomas (Toby) Brown. Mr. Brown is survived by daughters Carolyn Faye Lewis and Marilyn Kaye Wells; sons Daniel David Brown, Floyd Wayne Brown, Larry Lee Brown, Johnny Bruce Brown, Jerry Doyle Brown, and Billy Gregory Brown; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Evangelist George Frady officiating. His family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
