A memorial service for Jonathan Glenn Hyatt, age 12, of Case Cove Road, Candler, who died May 25, 2002, will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, June 8 in
the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Higgins will officiate.
Jonathan was a sixth grade student at Hominy Valley Elementary School. A native of Buncombe County, he was the beloved son of Cynthia Diane
Hyatt and Glenn Hyatt. He is also survived by a sister, Beth Hyatt and a brother Brandon Hyatt; maternal grandmother, Diane Greene; maternal grandfather Rick Messer; paternal grandmother Carolyn Hudson; paternal grandfather Carl Hyatt;
maternal great-grandparents, Ted and Barbara McKinney; maternal great-great-grandmother Josie McKinney; paternal great-grandmother Rose
Bridges; and numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the home of Ted and Barbara McKinney, 84 Swannanoa Avenue in West Asheville immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hyatt family at the Bank of Asheville, Dogwood Road Branch, Candler.
I knew Jonathan and Brandon from SandHill-Venable school. I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
