Julia,
Julia, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Our deepest sympathies to your family.
Julia,
Even though I was unable to be with you today, my thoughts have been with you and your daughters. Where you found the strength to face this long ordeal is beyond me. As difficult as it may seem today, there is great relief that the suffering is over. I promise you, once you get ‘back on your feet’ and into the day to day activities, one night when you go to sleep, you will see Joe and be able to talk to him. I have had this experience with my mother and it was very comforting to see her in spirit and know the suffering was no longer present. Hang in there and hope it is of some comfort to know so many people share in your pain.

Julia, Jodi, and Jackie: I can’t tell you how sorry
we are about Joe. Your family is on the prayer lists
of at least two churches here in Blacksburg.
There are many people thinking and praying for
you. I hope you can feel their concern and God’s
love for you now and always.

Stay strong and know that God loves and cares for you all.
I just found this place. I want you to know I am praying for God to give you comfort and strength. My love to you. I will miss Joe very much, as I have since he went to Duke. I hope he knew how much he was loved by us all who knew him. He was a truly great neighbor and friend.
