Josephine A. Smith, 94, formerly of Bushnell, FL, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Brian Center of Hendersonville. A native of Webster, FL, she was a daughter of the late Charles Elmo and Grace Carruthers Armistead. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Eugene Smith, and by her sister, Mary Charles Armistead, who died March 17, 2013. Mrs. Smith was retired from Cranston Printworks. She was a lifelong member of Webster United Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith is survived by daughters Susan Janette Youngblood and husband Gary Mason, and Frances Jacqueline Baldwin and husband Samuel; sons Joseph A. Smith and John E. Smith, Jr. and wife Rebecca; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Webster United Methodist Church, 173 SE 3rd St., Webster, FL 33597, or to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Rd., Flat Rock, NC 28731. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
