Joy was one of the sweetest people I ever knew. We shared many stories of our granddaughters in the break room at Wal-Mart. I will miss her so much. I never heard Joy say one harm word about anyone. She spoke lovingly about her daughters. I pray God will give you His wonderful grace through this sad time in your live.
Joy, you will be missed by all of us at 1317. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Shannon,Alan and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Julie and Bob Bland
To the family of Joy Keener: I worked with Joy for 11 years and had the upmost opportunity to befriend her. Working in Layaway as Joy’s Department Manager, we had some wonderful times, laughing, acting silly, and when we didn’t want to work with a particular person, Joy and I agreed not to show up the next day, because we knew that we would be the only two doing the work. I no longer work for Wal-Mart but Joy will be missed deeply. I’m glad I got the opportunity to work with Joy. Family: Joy needs you all to stay strong, because she’s in a better place now.
Love Always,
Stephanie Imes
Paul, Tracy & Shannon,
The times we spent together when we were younger were priceless. I remember our rides to school with ‘Nothing Could Be Finer than to be in Carolina.’? The snow when we would sled all day and build a big bon fire at night to warm us. The warm summer days, swimming and jumping on the trampoline. The time that we thought we would be the next big ‘Dance Sensations’ the Star Saddles. The encouragement of our parents to pursue our dreams. Joy was always a gracious hostess, making sure that we were safe and taken care of. In a childhood filled with confusion and insecurity these are the things that made my life livable and worth while. I just want to thank your family for your friendship. Joy will be missed not only by you, but by the many people she touched. I wish that everyone would have had the pleasure of knowing her smile, kindness and fun loving personality.
I Love You MUCH!
Jimmee Crayton
Joy will be missed by all of her friends at Wal-Mart.
Ya’ll won’t know who I am, but I went to school with Joy at Lee Edwards. She was a special person, and I used to spend the night with her when we were in school together.
I didn’t hear about her passing until 1 hr before visitation, or I would have gone….Please accept my deepest Sympathy. God Bless All of you. I pray that He will help all of you through this trying time.
Joy was a wonderful lady. I just learned of her passing this morning, because I don’t buy the newspaper, and I don’t get to Wal-mart much any more. Joy and I were hired, trained and worked together in the lay-away at Wal-Mart. I am very saddened to learn this and wanted you to know how dearly she was thought of. I went and visited her at work every chance I had. I am so very sorry for your loss.
Sincerely, Pat Mosley
We are so sorry for your loss. Joy was such a sweet and caring person. We will keep you in our prayers. God Bless your family.
