Joyce Irene Dodd Roberts, 69, of Asheville, died on Sunday, February 12, 2017. A native of Buncombe Co., Joyce was a daughter of the late Eskie and Delpha Church Ray. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Bernice Griffin, Evelyn A. Ward, Gerald Dodd, Carroll J. Ray, and Joseph William Ray. Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Clarence Roberts, and brother, Randall Dodd. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. The Revs. Jerry Hensley, Jerry Jameson, and Joe Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow at the Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jessie Mace, Tony Worley, Gary Luykx, Jerry Dodd, Brad Barnes, and Daran Dodd. Her family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

I hope you will find comfort from Revelation 21:4 which says, ‘And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’?
