Juanita Cannon Stubblefield

Skyland – Juanita Cannon Stubblefield of Pond Street, Skyland, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2005. Mrs. Stubblefield was the daughter of the late Carl Cannon and Myrtle Connor Cannon Rice. She was preceded in death by four brothers, T.C., Bill, Beecher and Don Cannon and a sister, Elizabeth Triplett. Mrs. Stubblefield was a registered nurse. She was involved in the Boy Scouts and child evangelism and was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Philip Mattham Stubblefield, Sr. of Skyland; a son, Philip Mattham Stubblefield, Jr., and his wife Wendy, of Arden; two granddaughters, Caroline and Ellen Stubblefield and a sister, Marie Lyda of Laurens, SC. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
