Karen Denise Riddle Hinson, 28, of 257 Monticello Road, Weaverville, died Tuesday, September
28, 1999.

Mrs. Hinson was born in Buncombe County and attended French Broad Elementary and North Buncombe High School.  She was employed as a lab technician with LensCrafters in the Asheville Mall.

She is survived by her parents, Larry and Elaine R. Riddle;  her husband, Rod Hinson;  a daughter, Brittany Boone;  a sister, Alicia Riddle;  a step-son and step-daughter, Ben
Hinson and Emily Hinson;  and her paternal grandmother, Mabel Higgins, all of Weaverville.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Lanny Cobb officiating.  Burial will be at Ashelawn
Gardens.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 9 pm Friday at the funeral home and at other times will be at 257 Monticello Road.

  2. Karen was a very sweet and dear friend. I will never forget her beautiful big eyes and her wonderful smile. She was a fire cracker and I’ll never stop missing her. My only comfort is that I know she is with the Lord and is smiling down upon us now.

  6. KAREN WAS MY BEST FRIEND SINCE KINDERGARDEN. WE WERE UNSEPERATABLE GROWING UP. WE WENT THROUGH EVERYTHING TOGETHER. TODAY WOULD HAVE BEEN HER 31ST BIRTHDAY. I MISS HER VERY MUCH. I JUST HOPE THAT BRITTANY AND MY SON CODY WILL GROW UP TO BE AS CLOSE AS WE WERE.

  8. Karen was my mom and i miss her so much i was only 9 when she died and need her now more than ever but i know that she is in a better place and feels no heart ache or pain. I just want her to know that i love her and miss her and for everyone that has read this or signed the guestbook thank you i hope my mom’s story will make an impact in your life not to drink and drive! I LOVE YOU MOMMY!!!!

  9. I miss you so much sis!!!! It will be 10 years on Monday and I’m really not sure how I made it this long without you. It’s been a struggle at times for sure. I wish so much that you were here with all of us. I love you so much!!!
