Kenneth Presar

A native of Wapakoneta, OH, he was a son of the late Carl William and Beulah Emrick Presar. He attended Ohio State University and had been in life insurance since 1959. He was a former resident of Lima, OH, where he was former secretary of the JayCees and also secretary of the Sertoma Club. He had lived in Asheville since 1983 and retired in 1992 as manager of the Asheville office of MONY (Mutual Life Insurance of NY). He was also the past president of both Asheville and Lima Association of Life Underwriters.

He was a member of Arden Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the church Gathering of Men.

Surviving are his wife, Ann P. Presar; a daughter Kimberly Presar Williams of Port Jefferson, OH; a son and his wife, Kurt and Lisa Presar of Mathews, NC; a step-daughter and her husband, Kim and Mark Cabe of Waynesville; a step-son and his wife, Greg and Kim Starnes of Clover, SC; a sister, June Elaine Garrett of Crossville, TN; two brothers, Deane Presar of Clinton Township, MI and Don Presar of Fairfax, VA; four grandchildren, Heather and Derek Williams and Ashley and Julianna Presar, and one step-granddaughter, Allison Cabe.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Graham officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.

His family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 16, Asheville, NC 28802.
