Laura Jane Ratcliff Huntsman, 87, of Asheville, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
She was a native of Buncombe County and attended Georgetown Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Gaston Huntsman who died in 1966.
Surviving are her son, William James Huntsman of Asheville; her daughter Barbara E. Trexler of Asheville; a granddaughter, Teresa Trexler and 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m.Thursday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. with Pastor Lee Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

I was sadden to hear of your Mothers passing. God be with you and your family during this difficult time.
Mother, Jean (Delbert) Carner passed away this past March 17. I miss her terribly.
