Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I mostly know about Mr. Cady through my friendships with his daughter, Chris, her husband, Bob, their younger daughter, Deb, and the family’s home on Nantucket. Even through these indirect connections, however, I’ve come to an affection for him — and appreciation for the rich and fulfilling life he lived, and helped many others to live. My prayers are with his family and all his other loved ones.

  2. My Thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family. Mr. Cady was a very intriguing man and I always found our discussions enlightening. He will truly be missed at The Fountains.

  3. Larry shared many summers with Annie and myself at Smith Boys Marina in N.Ton.NY. He was an admired and respected friend to all at our dock.Larry was always a willing source of boating knowledge. I have tried to mirror my life after the gentleman he was. He will always be with me in my heart.

  4. My memories of Mr. Cady go back to the late 60’s when Ken and I were in high school; Mr. Cady hired us to work in his warehouse sorting through his rolls and rolls of upholstery materials. That is where he first introduced me to nagahide. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Cady’s house in Kenmore, NY from time to time and watch as Mr. Cady and Mrs. Cady’s narrated their freighter cruise slide show vacations which possibly led to my own love of travel. He was a wonderful speaker with perfect diction, which Ken can attest to from being lectured for some bad behavior we sometimes got into. My wife and I finally visited Mr. Cady a little more than a year ago when he was at the Fountains in St. Pete, Florida that was the first time I saw him in more than 40 years. He was still as sharp as ever and could still tell a good story, Ken and his siblings were very lucky to have such a great father.

  5. Deepest sympathy to the Cady family. Larry was a dear friend at the Fountains. He will be greatly missed. I enjoyed his conversations, especially about his family. ‘As you look at a sunset, remember it’s God’s signature to a lovely day.’

  6. we will remember our friend and neighbor Larry from many times spent talking and laughing together here at Gulfport Shores.

He will be recalled fondly as a man with a generous spirit.

  7. Larry Cady was the salesman that Savards Upholstery dealt with
for supplies for our shop. He lent his home to myself and my husband,
Sonny Savard for a weekend in Nantucket Island many years ago.
He and Agnes had to go somewhere else that weekend. He did have
a wonderful & outgoing personality for sure. We were connected to
Walter Fissell Co. for many years (at least 50) Now I know
a woman that is starting her own business near Tupper Lake
and I would like to give her the correct address for Walter Fissell in Buffalo.
When I put it on line I pulled up Larry’s obituary. He is missed for sure.
